The Finley Football Netball Club is thrilled to have one of our own return home, with Jack Sexton appointed as our Senior Playing Coach for the 2026 & 2027 seasons. Jack came through our junior program before carving out an impressive playing career:
2017–2021: Yarrawonga
2020: Richmond VFL
2023–2025: Southport VFL
We’re so excited to see Jack back in the blue and white, this time leading from both on the field and in the coach’s box. With his experience at VFL and country level, a premiership with Southern Districts in season 2024-2025 in the NTFL, and his strong ties to our club, Jack is the perfect fit to guide and inspire our young playing group into the future. Welcome home, Jack – the Cats family can’t wait for the next couple of seasons under your leadership!

The Finley Football Netball Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Jack Yelland for the 2026 season! Jack brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Cats, having played with Coburg (2013–2015), West Coburg (2016–2018), Surfers Paradise (2019–2022), and most recently Wodonga (2023–2025). A strong and hard-working inside midfielder, Jack will not only strengthen our midfield group but also take on the role of Assistant Coach, helping to guide and develop our young and emerging players both on and off the field. We’re excited to have Jack, Molly, Tommy and baby number two join the Cats family for 2026!
The Finley Football Netball Club is excited to announce the signing of Jess Koopman for the 2026 season! Jess joins the Cats as both a player and assistant coach, bringing outstanding experience, leadership, and passion to our football program. A former Finley junior, Jess returns home after an impressive playing journey. A Premiership player in our 4ths in 2010, Jess went on to win the Best and Fairest in our 3rds Premiership year in 2013 — early signs of the talent and determination he’s shown throughout his career. Since then, Jess has played 150 games for the Yarrawonga Football Netball Club in the Ovens and Murray League and also spent time with Southern Districts in the Northern Territory Football League. A noted goal kicker with great goal sense, Jess is a proven performer who leads by example both on and off the field. His experience and football knowledge will be invaluable in supporting our coaching group and developing our playing list. We’re thrilled to welcome Jess back to the Cats family and look forward to seeing the impact he’ll make in 2026.
